HondaJet Elite, the ultimate time machine, debuted at AirVenture 2018

 

HondaJet Elite aircraft made its United States debut during the Experimental Aircraft Association’s (EAA) AirVenture 2018 in Oshkosh. Honda Aircraft Company revealed the new upgraded aircraft at a special hangar event ahead of the 2018 European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition (EBACE) in Geneva, Switzerland.

The HondaJet Elite has achieved an extended range of an additional 17% (+396km) and is equipped with a newly developed noise attenuating inlet structure that lines each engine and greatly reduces high frequency noise to enhance cabin quietness. Additionally, the new aircraft’s advanced avionics system incorporates additional performance management functions for optimum flight planning and automatic stability and
protection functions to enhance safety of flight.

The HondaJet Elite’s AirVenture debut comes 13 years following the experimental HondaJet’s appearance at the world’s largest annual aviation gathering in 2005. Following its inaugural appearance in 2005, the HondaJet has been recognized for several high-profile awards, became the most delivered aircraft in its category in 2017, broke several speed records and has been certified and delivered in countries around the globe.

The second aircraft from Honda Aircraft Company, the HondaJet Elite is the fastest, furthest and highest-flying plane in its class.

The HondaJet Elite incorporates Honda Aircraft’s many technological innovations, including the unique Over-The-Wing Engine Mount (OTWEM) configuration, Natural Laminar Flow (NLF) nose and wing and composite fuselage. These advancements contribute to the aircraft’s superior performance, unparalleled efficiency and maximized fuselage space, making the aircraft’s cabin the largest in its class, including a full service galley, a private lavatory with optional belted seat and an exclusive Bongiovi sound system. The HondaJet Elite sets the gold standard in safety and human-machine interface technology with an ergonomically designed cockpit and enhanced customized Garmin G3000 avionics suite.
