Third Cheval Blanc hotel to open in St. Barts in October

A Cheval Blanc Spa offering the only Guerlain treatments in the Caribbean.

15 October 2014 will see the unveiling of Cheval Blanc St-Barth Isle de France, a new Maison for the Cheval Blanc collection. Hotel Saint-Barth Isle de France, an enduring island favourite was acquired by LVMH in July 2013 and has since been managed by LVMH Hotel Management.

This will be the third Maison in the portfolio, joining Cheval Blanc Randheli in the Maldives, which opened in November 2013, and Cheval Blanc Courchevel, the 36-room ski-in ski-out Maison in Courchevel 1850.

On Baie des Flamands – one of the island’s finest beaches – it is home to 40 suites, bungalows and villas and La Case de L’Isle, one of St Barth’s hottest dining destinations. The interiors are by Bee Osborn of Osborn Interiors and encapsulate the charm of the French West Indies, with a nod to the island’s heritage

The four treatment room Cheval Blanc Spa will be a sanctuary at the heart of this laid-back island Maison.

In the same vein as its sister properties, it will offer signature treatments by Guerlain – the first of their kind in the Caribbean – created exclusively for Cheval Blanc St-Barth Isle de France. Signature therapies will include St-Barth Solar Escape, a ritual subtly combining the Terracotta range with Guerlain specialists’ know-how, to offer a soothing escape to the skin and enhance its healthy glow. A new Orchidée double treatment room and other novelties will follow in the 2015-2016 season.

Cheval Blanc will also introduce a brand new fitness centre, offering personal training sessions and the latest Technogym equipment, overlooking Flamands Bay. The open plan layout will feature a bright and spacious design, in a palette of whites and taupes with bespoke furniture dotted throughout.

“The team’s legendary commitment to service and attention to detail, akin to Cheval Blanc’s Art de Recevoir service philosophy, will be completed by the creation of new tailor-made xperiences and activities crafted by the Maison’s Alchemists,” announced LVMH.Guests will also be surprised by the Maison’s partnership with French hair pioneer Leonor Greyl – highly sought after on red carpets and runways worldwide – to develop a nourrishing product line for Cheval Blanc that protects hair from its exposure to sun and sea. The chosen amenities contain specially selected organic plant-based active ingredients known for their moisturising properties – a perfect remedy for the St Barts sunshine.

The Maison’s new colour palette combines Cheval Blanc’s signature taupe with a daring blush pink – created just for Cheval Blanc St-Barth Isle de France – that strikingly enhances the Maison’s trademark blue. This new color scheme pays tribute to the Caribbean turquoise waters and colorful local façades.
