Maison Hermès names Nadege Vanhee-Cybulski as its new womenswear designer.
French luxury maison Hermès has named Nadege Vanhee-Cybulski as its new womenswear designer. “A native French talent with international experience,” Nadege Vanhee-Cybulski will take the place of the outgoing designer Christophe Lemaire.
“We welcome the arrival of Nadège. Her talent and her creative track record will be great assets in the continued development of women’s ready-to-wear. She will devote herself full- time to our house,” commented Axel Dumas, Chief Executive Officer of Hermès.
The new Hermès’ womenswear creative director from the Fall/Winter 2015 season is 36-year-old. Nadège graduated from the prestigious Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp and worked for Maison Martin Margiela and Céline in Paris, and then for Ashley Olsen and Mary-Kate Olsen’s New York City- based “The Row”.
The Paris-based luxury powerhouse has revealed that the outgoing designer Christophe Lemaire’s replacement is due to Lemaire’s wish to focus on his own fashion label.
