2020 Motor Valley Fest Digital: Seven of the most celebrated automotive marques in Emilia-Romagna open their doors

 

 

2020 Motor Valley Fest Digital is an online event dedicated to Emilia-Romagna’s motor industry and the land where the speed was born.

Motor Valley Fest Digital, the online event dedicated to the marques that have built Emilia-Romagna’s Motor Valley legend, opens its virtual doors today, and runs until May 17.

With a packed programme of online conference sessions and round tables for the automotive professionals plus an array of themed digital events on the motoring experience, the local area, and the leading sports car and motorbike manufacturers (Ferrari, Maserati, Pagani, Ducati, Lamborghini, Dallara), the automotive festival has plenty for all to enjoy.

On 16 and 17 May, sports car enthusiasts can explore the hallowed halls of Emilia-Romagna’s great motor makers live on Facebook. Journey to the Museum is a real live-streaming event for visitors to dive into the Motor Valley car brand museums as special guests of their curators and specialist guides. Seven of the most celebrated marques in Emilia-Romagna’s motor heartland open their doors for their own live streamings: the Dallara Academy, MUDETEC (the Lamborghini automotive-technology museum), the Enzo Ferrari museum (MEF) in Modena, the Ferrari museum in Maranello, the Ducati museum, the
Horacio Pagani museum, and the Maserati Innovation Lab.

As well as enjoying the tours, viewers will also have the chance to ask questions live in real time.

The virtual experience will sate visitors’ curiosity by allowing them inside the Dallara Academy, with its special display area presenting the X1/9, the Indycars and the Dallara Stradale road car. MUDETEC introduces the first visionary creations from the inspired mind of Ferruccio Lamborghini, like the Miura and Countach.

The Enzo Ferrari museum presents two semi-professional simulators and an exhibition of the historic engines that havepowered the prancing horse over the years. The Ferrari museum in Maranello pitches us into the high-octane world of F1 racing to celebrate over 90 years of the Scuderia team.

The Ducati museum collection presents classic models like the Monster, the legendary 750 SS, and the 916 by late lamented designer Massimo Tamburini.

The Horacio Pagani museum tells the story of its founder, the father of unique models from the Zonda to the latest Huayra, not forgetting the most expensive Zonda ever sold – the exclusive Zonda Aether.

And the Maserati Innovation Lab, where the brand’s cars are designed, offers visitors a truly unique experience with its static anddynamic simulators.

Especially for the occasion, the Ferrari Centro Stile has created its own visual interpretation of the event’s “Engine Restart” theme, in which the symbolic Start Button for the return to work of both the Ferrari marque and the entire country is set at the centre of a futuristic version of the Fiorano Circuit.

The opening conference focused on getting the mobility world back to work in the Covid-19 era with Ferrari represented by Chief Marketing and Commercial Officer, Enrico Galliera. Mattia Binotto (Managing Director and Team Principal Scuderia Ferrari Mission Winnow) took part in a round table discussion on trends in technology and attracting new generations of enthusiasts to the racing world.

Friday, May 15, is devoted to E-Talent Talks, during which companies will inform students and start-ups about the skills and professions currently in demand in the digital working world. Also of great interest are the initiatives aimed at enthusiasts: at 16.00 on Saturday, for instance, David Tonizza and Enzo Bonito, both FDA Hublot Esports Team sim drivers, will host an interactive coaching session on the Assetto Corsa platform.

At 18.00 on the same day, the public will be able to enjoy a virtual sneak preview of the recently opened Grand Tour exhibition at the Museo Enzo Ferrari in Modena, which will be live-streamed on the Motor Valley and Ferrari Museums’ Facebook pages.

Lastly, do not miss the live-streamed virtual visit of the Ferrari Museum in Maranello on Sunday, May 17. Starting at 12.30, it offers a tour of the hypercars, sports cars and single-seaters that have delivered some of the Prancing Horse’s most spectacular track victories, not least the 488 GTE which triumphed at last year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The Motor Valley Fest digital site offers a journey of discovery around the Motor Valley racetracks: Imola, Modena, Varano, and the Marco Simoncelli World Circuit at Misano.

Enthusiasts can enjoy a thrilling virtual ride on the Misano track for a behind-the-scenes look at this leading venue for the two biggest bike championships in the world – the MotoGP and SBK – and for major events in the four-wheel calendar. Scuderia Tricolore and Canossa Events will then present a tribute to the region’s four circuits, with themed videos and bite-size features on motoring legends from the Ferrari 250 SWB to the Maserati 250S. The de Adamich team will be screening their Master Maserati and 20th-anniversary videos too.
