Cheval Blanc Paris reveals its new gem, in the heart of an iconic Art Deco building

 

 

Under the Pont Neuf flows the Seine. In the heart of the City of Light, a few steps away from the Louvre and the Marais, in front of the Left Bank, rises Cheval Blanc Paris with majesty.

Cheval Blanc Paris unveils new contemporary hotel in the French capital

Cheval Blanc unveiled the first urban hotel in its collection in the heart of Paris on September 7. Ideally situated between the Marais, île de la Cité and the Louvre, it joins Cheval Blanc Maisons in Courchevel, the Maldives, St-Barth and St-Tropez. Designed nearly a century ago by Henri Sauvage, the building embodies a unique Art Déco heritage and pays tribute to French savoir-faire and craftsmanship.

With only 72 rooms – including 46 suites – Cheval Blanc new luxury hotel in Paris has been conceived by architects Peter Marino and Edouard François to create experience and emotion, rather than a décor.

The interior design features bespoke furniture, artworks and craft creations. Vik Muniz canvasses are joined by works by the Lalannes, and a sumptuous staircase has metal weaving created by Sophie Mallebranche. Vast bay windows afford spectacular views from all the rooms and the four restaurants. A 650-square-meter winter garden on the seventh floor provides a haven of greenery with 360° views of the City of Light. The wellness space includes a 30-meter pool, a state-of-the-art fitness club, a Rossano Ferretti hair salon and the Dior Spa Cheval Blanc, all inviting indulgent, peaceful reverie. Cheval Blanc Paris’s quest for the ultimate in excellence is embodied in the Appartement atop the Maison.

The establishment delights guests with gastronomy as well thanks to a culinary offering as creative as it is refined. The restaurants are brimming with surprises and delectable emotions conjured by a team with a passion for flavors. A café by day, the ground floor Limbar morphs into a bar when night falls. The Plénitude gastronomic restaurant on the first level is overseen by chef Arnaud Donckele, awarded three stars at the Cheval Blanc St-Tropez, along with pastry chef Maxime Frédéric. Both are avid proponents of a return to sources, respect for the seasons, and for the producers and places behind the ingredients. On the seventh floor, contemporary French brasserie Le Tout-Paris celebrates conviviality overlooking the rooftops of Paris, while Langosteria brings the best of Italian fine dining to Paris.

Dior Spa Cheval Blanc, a sensorial journey at the heart of Paris

Created by Peter Marino, this exceptional setting combines classical exotic woods with modern natural marble, in the spirit of a Parisian apartment, in which each object is a vibrant tribute to the signature style of the Maison and to Christian Dior’s life. The treatments are held in suites dubbed “Bonheur”, “New Look”, “Bonne Etoile”, “Sauvage”, “Mitzah” and “Granville”. These are six unique suites with stunning decor and private white onyx bathrooms.

Happiness is extended within the various spaces dedicated to well-being and sensory indulgence: the majestic swimming pool with mosaic waves, the snow shower, sauna and steam room, the fitness center and the hair salon to extend the pleasure of enjoyment.

To provide the highest degree of efficacy and unique expertise, the Beauty Ambassadors combine cutting-edge technologies and exclusive Dior manual techniques, such as sensorial awakening, tissue massage, and Dior sapphire crystal micro-abrasion. Each treatment is enhanced by a rare sensorial ritual, exclusive to the Dior Spa Cheval Blanc – Dior’s Face Baths, where each treatment water is infused with one of the powerful active ingredients cultivated in the Dior gardens.

48 treatments were designed to fulfill every expectation and adapt to every rhythm. In addition to the permanent treatment menu, there are temporary menus that change depending on the season, Dior runway shows and partnerships with renowned experts for a magical new experience with every visit.

Then, each sensorial journey at the Dior Spa Cheval Blanc ends in the Dior Boutique, which was designed as an invitation to discover the Maison’s essentials. Dior Maison also partnered with the American artist Jennifer Steinkamp in order to put the spotlight on her stance on femininity and flowers. For Dior, she chose to stage her Botanic collection with two artworks known as Botanic 10 and Botanic 11. These are two digital immersive installations that invite the audience to dive into an ever-moving, dreamlike garden. Our eyes are mesmerized and chase the gracious lifting of each petal. Our minds follow the path taken by each flower as they sway in a subtle breeze. They work as pure modern poetry. Their sensitivity and fineness convey an additional emotional experience to the moment.
