A stylish quest, Stella McCartney’s Stella Kids Spring Summer 2022 is made with 90 percent eco-friendly materials.
This season, Stella Kids takes the next generation of changemakers on a global journey – venturing into the multifaceted beauty of Mother Earth.
“We encourage the leaders of tomorrow to care for our planet today, using playful prints to explore and educate on its diverse environments and the creature companions that we share it with. Our adventure begins in the animal kingdom, with smiling crocodiles and zany zebras… “ – Stella McCartney.
Girls embrace a dreamy wardrobe, graphically celebrating romantic garden scenes, ocean breezes and desert fun on a vibrant palette of recycled knits, embroidered denim, colour-blocking and organic cotton graphic t-shirts.
Boys set out on a bold route, swimming with toothy crocodiles on plant-based pieces; traversing though desert landscapes in practical shirts, sweat sets and cargo trousers; and finally, soaking up the warm weather in colour-blocked, rainbow uniforms.
Echoing this, natural motifs come to life on the season’s matching accessories – including crocodile backpacks, strawberry shoulder bags and jellyfish cross-body bags. Comfort meets functionality in activewear through across recycled and breathable leggings, matching tops and accessories. Swimwear dives into the collection’s natural themes, with moody marine life swim shorts and happy crab prints.
Stella designs Minnie Mouse’s first-ever pantsuit for Disneyland Paris
Bringing together two powerhouse forces for womanhood, Stella McCartney was invited to design Minnie Mouse’s first-ever pantsuit at Disneyland Paris – celebrating the magical destination’s 30th anniversary and Women’s History Month. Upon its launch, it has already sparked global conversations around femininity, progress and fashion. Minnie will subsequently debut her new look on 6th March at Disneyland Paris.
Minnie Mouse’s navy blue tuxedo was crafted with responsible materials – offering a new take on her signature polka dots, and dressing her to be a symbol of empowerment for a new generation. The collaboration will also be immortalised by a collectable, limited-edition organic cotton t-shirt, available for purchase on International Women’s Day (8th March).
Minnie has always had a special place in my heart. What I love about her is she personifies our shared values of happiness and optimism, self-expression and authenticity. Not only does Minnie inspire people of all ages around the world, but she also has such great style! – STELLA MCCARTNEY.
Stella was hand-selected by Disney to design Minnie Mouse’s custom look because of her legacy of female leadership, sustainable pioneering and directional fashions. The suit marks the first moment in a series of upcoming collaborations, with more to be announced shortly.
