Guerlain Le Songe de la Reine by Inkman is juxtaposing sculpture and calligraphy in a design as poetic as it is spectacular.

At the crossroads of two centuries-old traditions, this exclusive Exceptional Piece from Guerlain luxury house celebrates the art of Haute Parfumerie and the exquisite beauty of Arabic calligraphy. Inspired by Guerlain Master Perfumer Thierry Wasser’s ‘Le Songe de la Reine’, Tunisian calligrapher Inkman has designed an exceptional sheath for the iconic Bee perfume Bottle, juxtaposing sculpture and calligraphy in a design as poetic as it is spectacular.

Having spent his childhood in his father’s jewellery workshop in Tunisia, Inkman was always destined to become an artist. Embracing calligraphy and geometric forms, from graffiti to canvas paintings to sculpture, his creative vocabulary transcends culture and languages, expressing feeling as much as it exalts form.

To craft this Exceptional Piece, the Guerlain has called on the legendary Parisian jeweller Goossens.

Piece by piece, each component is draped in copper, white bronze and gold before being laser-cut and meticulously shaped and polished by hand, embracing the curves of the majestic Guerlain Bee Bottle to perfection. Adorned with these dazzling jewels, each Guerlain bottle is then transported to the Ateliers Guerlain where the House’s fabled Dames de Table wind a fine golden thread around the neck, ending in a tassel with sparkling crystals and a double G, also crafted by the Ateliers Goossens.

A visual poem that enhances the harmony of the fragrance and the bottle, Inkman’s Exceptional Creation combines elements of sculpture and calligraphy.

The elegant curves that embrace the Bee Bottle echo the sinuous lines of Arabic writing, blending voluptuous shapes, graceful arcs, and the outline of the inimitable Guerlain ‘G’. The essence of meticulous and refined craftsmanship, each bottle becomes a unique, made-to-measure piece – a true masterpiece of goldsmithing.

An exclusive fragrance accompanies Inkman’s Exceptional Piece: Le Songe de la Reine, a bold, sensual Eau de Parfum that exalts the raw materials of the Mediterranean. Top notes of mandarin and bergamot reveal a heart note of refreshing, delicate fig, over a woody base of sandalwood and cedar notes.
