eBay’s New Platform Brings High-End and Luxury to Your Fingertips.
eBay has announced the launch of its new Certified by Brand program, aimed at expanding the platform’s luxury offering and scaling brands’ presence in the secondary luxury market. The program partners directly with brands, including Konstantin Chaykin, Zodiac Watches, and Le Vian, to provide eBay’s 133 million active buyers access to certified pre-owned, limited-edition, and exclusive “only on eBay” inventory.
With the rise of consumer enthusiasm for collecting and passion investments, the luxury resale market for premium and luxury goods has grown significantly in recent years. As luxury brands increasingly move into the resale space, eBay’s Certified by Brand program aims to provide an opportunity for brands and brand-authorized sellers to tap into this trend and broaden their reach.
eBay aims to bring a wider selection of trusted inventory to a larger audience, providing a win-win opportunity for brands, retailers, and buyers alike.

The program will initially focus on watches, handbags, and fine jewelry from a growing roster of luxury brands. Each listing in the program will include either “Direct from Brand” or “Brand Authorized Seller” badging, making it easy for buyers to identify listings in the program, similar to how eBay’s Authenticity Guarantee check mark distinguishes inventory.
Certified by Brand partners will gain access to consumer insights from eBay’s global network of buyers and will be able to influence pricing of their brand inventory within the secondary market. Brands and brand-authorized sellers will also be able to control their brand equity and image with access to various eBay platform channels to amplify their own messaging to help drive growth and move inventory.
eBay Programs like Authenticity Guarantee have had significant impact since the service was first introduced, and luxury focus categories have had roughly double-digit annualized growth since Q4 2019. Certified by Brand signals eBay’s continued dedication to bolster confidence in its shopping experience for high-passion and high value-products for luxury brands, retailers and buyers alike.
