Maurice Lacroix at Baselworld 2011: Never Stop Moving
The world’s most IMPORTANT watch and jewellery exhibition opens its doors in March. From 23 to 31 March, BASELWORLD is the place to be for most of the international players in the luxury goods industry.
Swiss watch brand Maurice Lacroix, which has as ambassadors famous names as musician and activistBob Geldof, British golf player Justin Rose, Jimmy Wales (Wikipedia founder) and Polish actor Maciej Stuhr, brings at Baselworld 2011 two watch models.
Maurice Lacroix targets people that remain confident to themselves. People coming out of the crowd and looking for a lot more than the social status. The Swiss brand is frequently involved in supporting projects such as sponsoring Zurich Film Festival or the Bering Strait Expedition (crossing the Bering Strait with the kite).
Among the latest challenges is Maurice Lacroix second edition of the project of the Pontos Decentrique GMT redesign by famous designers. In 2010 the three designers were Gwenael Nicolas,Arik Levy and Neil Barrett. For 2011 the team is composed of the Spanish designer Patricia Urquiola, Italian architect Rodolfo Dordoni and Belgian fashion designer Kris Van Assche.
Timepieces from this joint venture will also be presented in March at Baselworld 2011, and will be auctioned in June 2011. The resulted money will be redirected to charitable causes chosen by the designers.
