“To not dare is to have already lost. We should seek out ambitious, even unrealistic projects, because things only happen when we dream”. (Andrée Putman)
Olivia Putman, Artistic director of Lalique, launched The Orgue lighting collection, her second collection for the french crystal manufacturer. The collection that is highlighted by the purity of crystal will be presented during the next Maison & Objet show.
“I wanted this collection to be very contemporary utilizing a different approach of LALIQUE’s know-how: associated with the new possibilities that LED offers, the crystal of these chandeliers produce the effect of a rain shower of light,” said Olivia Putman.
Among the latest Olivia Putman‘s collaboration are the new FNTP (National Federation of Public Works of France) office building designed by Studio Putman (opened the 1st december 2011) and a whole fabric collection for Pierre Frey. Minimalist and graphic, the collection is based on nine drawings in black and white including the checkerboard, signature of the Studio Andrée Putman.
