Leica’s popularity in Japan lead to the opening of a flagship in SOGO department store in Yokohama, Japan. To mark the milestone, German Leica unveiled “Leica X2 Yokohama Edition” – a Limited edition camera with lizard style leather case, shoulder strap, camera protecter made with the same leather material and Leica’s know how.
Based on “Leica X2″, the new limited model features newly developed CMOS sensor with 16.2 million pixels, high-spec lens “LEICA ELMARIT-M f2.8/24mm ASPH”, and it is proud to produce low noise, and accurate color reproducibility. Available from July 2013, the new Leica for collectors and high-end users limited to 30 units will cost US$2780.
Latest product innovations from Leica include Leica x2 Edition Paul Smith with the immensely popular stripes recreated in the design, X a la carte programme extension with a selection of styling options for the Leica X2, the versatile Leica V-Lux 4, and Leica D-Lux 6 compact camera format among others launches.
