Sunreef Yachts presented its Sunreef Supreme 68 Midori, a 68 foot sailing catamaran with the heart of a superyacht. The luxury sailing catamaran of 21 meters in length offers a total living space equaling 300 sqm, “the kind of comfort one would normally expect to find on a superyacht,” say its builders. Midori features an immense flybridge of 65m2 topped with an elegant bimini. This scenic area is fitted with a bar, a large sofa and mattresses to obtain a vast dining and lounging space of 65m2.
Last month, Sunreef Yachts have set afloat their second Sunreef Supreme 68 – Midori (Japanese for green), a sailing 68-footer “with immense social areas and a zen spirit.” The Owner’s inspiration for building this catamaran with Sunreef Yachts was to create a harmoniously conceived yacht reflecting the tranquility and moderation of the Japanese aesthetics and philosophy.
Midori’s original style combines well with the Sunreef Supreme’s innovative design featuring a superstructure made to maximize onboard space with a vast saloon opening onto the cockpit.
Midori’s signature décor was developed by designer Bram Van Scharen and Sunreef Yachts’ in- house design team.
“An adviser for high-end housing and private residential projects also involved in superyacht interior design work, he came up with a timeless and discrete style to give Midori a unique touch. One that is immune to trends and is not going to age any time soon,” explained Sunreef Yachts.
Midori’s vast saloon surrounded with full-height windows spans over 65m2 of smartly used living surface. Its bow section features a large galley stretching over the room’s entire width. The space under the centrally placed countertop conceals fridges, freezers, a wine cooler and a Hoshizaki cube ice maker. Ample storage spaces and kitchen appliances are discretely covered with black matte panels found over the entire bow area of the main room. The central countertop neighbors a large dining table with seating for eight.
A customized Devialet loudspeaker is at hand to set the mood. Midori’s floors and deck are entirely clad in teak wood and the walls are kept in a soothing smoke blue tone.
The boat will sleep 8 guests in the comfort of three cabins and one master suite, each given a distinct color scheme. All of them feature clever storage, retractable TV’s, Fosgate speakers and ample private bathrooms covered in sintered quartz and equipped with Vola accessories. The Owner’s cabin benefits from a dressing area, a desk, a drop-down TV and a generous master bathroom.
The yacht’s front terrace is the place to relax on large sun pads or to enjoy a bath in the Jacuzzi.
The boat is equipped with an aft garage – featured on all the Sunreef Supreme 68 yachts. This voluminous space allows to conveniently store a 5m tender and up to two jet- skis, diving gear and sails.
