As Polaroid Eyewear celebrates its 75th anniversary this year, it was the perfect opportunity to show how original designs from the archives shape today’s fashions. The collection of sunglasses called ‘Best Under the Sun” consists of a range of timeless, retro-inspired designs like 1950 Marilyn, 1939 Swing, 194o Victory, 1950 Broadway, 1960 Memphis or the reinvention of the classic Aviator shape.
A special feature of the launch included the display of original Polaroid sunglasses which date back to the 1930s when Polaroid first launched the brand. For every pair sold from “Best Under the Sun” collection, a donation will be made to Sightsavers -the international charity which helps to eliminate blindness in some of the world’s poorest countries.
