Gucci’s garden of blossoming flowers, slithering snakes and fluttering butterflies comes to Harrods, with Creative Director Alessandro Michele’s riot of colour, pattern and patches colliding in an ever-covetable collection that spans house favourites – the Dionysus, the Sylvie – as well as womenswear, menswear and Michele’s debut fragrance, Gucci Bloom.
The Harrods windows on Brompton Road, London presents an installation featuring Gucci Bloom, the new women’s fragrance by Alessandro Michele. Previewing on screens outdoor and in store is the campaign which stars Dakota Johnson, Hari Nef and Petra Collins, shot by Glen Luchford. The windows are part of a Gucci Garden takeover of the Victorian emporium for the month of August, which features a limited-edition ready-to-wear and accessories collection and dedicated Gucci DIY service.
“Iconic, covetable and instantly-recognisable, Gucci is a go-to for attention-grabbing accessories. From embellished handbags made from exotic skins to luxurious leather wallets finished with antiqued golden hardware, each piece is exemplary of the Italian label’s striking creativity and quality craftsmanship. Pull your look together with the double G buckle belt, or turn to Gucci’s Dionysus bag for sartorial style status,” says harrods.
Crafted in plush suede and GG Supreme canvas, the elegant Dionysus Blooms shoulder bag from Gucci is painted and stitched with blossoming flowers, and embroidered with a signature bee. Locking with a textured tiger head spur in antique-finish metal, wear the sliding chain strap short in the crook of the arm or
drape elegantly from the shoulder.
Alessandro Michele combines Gucci‘s classic GG print with quirky themed patches to present the Supreme drawstring backpack. Coated in luxe microfibre fabric, it boasts two top handles, leather trims and rope drawstring ties in the brand’s classic red and green colourway. Ideal for on-the-go, this swoon-worthy
piece will cause drama on the morning commute or short-haul business trip.
Combining new motifs with some of the label’s more iconic ones, this Gucci dress is decorated in a patchwork of prints for a coveted clashing effect. Crafted from pure silk with a point collar and button placket, the neckline is punctuated with a large satin bow detail and the waistline is accented with patch pockets in
the brand’s cube Wallpaper pattern. A contrast hem is emblazoned with L’Aveugle Par Amour, which translates into Love is Blind.
The Gucci New Ace Flame sneakers are a contemporary take on a timeless sports classic. Crafted in leather, these low-top sneakers are adorned with the brand’s signature striped webbing and an appliqué floral motif. Perfect for bringing a little Italian attitude to off-duty looks.
Bringing the garden to life in olfactive delight, Alessandro Michele’s debut fragrance, Gucci Bloom, sees jasmine, tuberose and Rangoon creeper combine to captivating effect.
