The culmination of 2 years of work and the realisation of founder Anya Hindmarch‘s long held dream, The Village is a collection of five neighbouring Anya Hindmarch stores located just off Cadogan’s Sloane Street in London. On Pont Street in London a little village of stores opened to house all the ideas the brand collected over the years. According to Hindmarch, the new retail concept “will be ever evolving and be a place where we pour all of our creative energy and collaborate on the subjects that interest us.”

Anya’s Village will in addition to being a home for all the brands, a destination for experiences, exhibitions and collaborations such as the upcoming partnership to celebrate the launch of Anya’s first book, ‘If in Doubt, Wash Your Hair” with a three week pop up hair salon.

“I feel that the next ten years are going to be about ‘localisation’ not ‘globalisation’ and it feels so right to return to the Brand’s roots here on the Cadogan Estate and to realise my dream of The Village. If retail is to exist in a digital world, there needs to be a reason to visit.” – Anya Hindmarch

“Our overarching objective is to ensure the long-term vibrancy of Chelsea – we are completely behind projects that capture and contribute to this spirit. We have been in discussions with Anya on this for a few years now and it’s fantastic to see it become a reality, at a time that the creativity, innovation and community focus she brings is more vital than ever. Anya has always been an industry leader – from her sustainability projects to the ‘direct to consumer’ show approach. We are delighted to see her bring that unique sense of joy, playfulness and particular wit to the neighbourhood.” – Hugh Seaborn, Cadogan’s Chief Executive.

“News of The Village comes after Hindmarch returned to her namesake brand as chief executive and creative director last year in a deal to buy back half of the business when the brand was sold to the Marandi family, which also owns The Conran Shop and has invested in Emilia Wickstead,” commented standard.co.uk.
