Despite the hardships the COVID crisis caused for the restaurant and international tourism industry, Belgrade has showed resilience and is continuing to develop.
Belgrade continues to offer a high-quality culinary offering, with an international focus. 3 new restaurants make their entry into the 2023 MICHELIN Guide Belgrade selection.
In this second edition, 3 new restaurants are recommended by the Guide, bringing to 17 the total number of establishments showcased by the inspectors in the Serbian capital.
“Our inspection teams were excited by the high-quality dishes served in the recommended restaurants, with culinary offerings imbued with modernity and diversity, while also focusing on local culinary traditions. Observed trends included international influences and innovative flavors in the Belgrade gastronomic repertoire, illustrating the determination of restaurant owners and their staff to turn their city into a gourmet destination to be discovered”, declared Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of the MICHELIN Guides.

The METROPOLITAN GRILL, located close to the Museum of Contemporary Art, within the grounds of an international hotel chain, puts Mediterranean cuisine in the limelight. In a cosmopolitan setting, where Serbian, Balkan and Oriental influences rub shoulders, the à la carte dishes will satisfy even the most exacting palates.
With an eclectic musical ambiance and affording unobstructed city vistas, SKY LOUNGE Restaurant delivers contemporary cuisine with international flavors, merging Asian and Mediterranean influences. The fish selection is to die for, said the gourmet inspectors.
At VINGT-DEUX Restaurant Belgrade, perched on the tenth floor of the Hotel Metropol, in the university district, the cuisine is renowned for its high quality and the cocktail bar for its sophistication. The pleasant experience is complemented by the 360-degree city panorama, enabling gourmets to experience incredible sunset views.
As well as these three new addresses, all of the establishments listed in the 2022 edition of the MICHELIN Guide Belgrade appear in the 2023 selection. Among them, Iva New Balkan Cuisine is once more heralded for its excellent price-quality ratio and thus holds on to its Bib Gourmand distinction.
