Boodles celebrates 220th Anniversary with Patek Philippe World Time and the most exciting pieces of jewellery

2018 marks 220 years since Boodles, British jewellers of exception, was founded in 1798. What could be more spectacular than celebrating with one of the most exciting pieces of jewellery in the company’s history?

For Boodles 220th Anniversary, Patek Philippe have created a commemorative edition of the World Time watch. The back of the timepiece is engraved with the dates of Boodles anniversary.

The 220th Anniversary Necklace is an exceptional design feat for Boodles

To celebrate its 220th anniversary, Boodles unveiled one of the most exciting jewellery designs in the company’s history. As well as a very special collaboration with Patek Philippe: the launch of the World Time Special Series Ref. 5230G-012.

The 220th Anniversary necklace represents the vibrant past, present and future of Boodles. Diamond-set threads flow forwards from the clasp; signifying the past, then weave forwards and unite at the centre to represent the present, and from there stream downwards to signify the different strands of Boodles future.

A collection of 93 rare and exceptional D-colour Ashoka cut diamonds are set at balanced intervals, representing the achievements and key figures of Boodles throughout time. The inclusion of pink diamonds references Boodles pale pink brand colour, which is an integral part of the brand DNA.

For the first time in history, Liverpool makes World Time, to celebrate Boodles anniversary. A dazzling men’s world time watch from the Boodles Patek Philippe collection.

The iconic self-winding Patek Philippe World Time watch, highly coveted by frequent flyers and collectors, is being adapted with a reference to Liverpool as one of the 24 time zones, replacing London for this exclusive model. The word ‘Liverpool’, birthplace of Boodles will be included in pink, and the 220th Anniversary of Boodles is engraved on the back of the timepiece.

The design of the Special Series has a vintage feel, with classic monochrome colours, a black ebony lacquered dial, set in white gold with a matte black alligator-leather strap. The centre of the watch features hand-guilloched decors and basket weave motif. Boodles x Patek Philippe World Time watch is produced in 18 carat white gold, and in a strictly limited series of just 50 pieces.
