BRABUS, renowned for its automotive refinement and high-performance modifications, has unveiled a limited-edition roadster paying tribute to its founder, Bodo Buschmann.
The foundation for this special model is the Mercedes-AMG SL 63 4MATIC+ Roadster, and only 25 units of this exclusive edition will be produced.
Under the hood, the two-seater boasts an eight-cylinder, twin-turbo engine equipped with the Brabus PowerXtra B40S-750 performance upgrade, generating an impressive output of 750 horsepower (740 bhp) and a peak torque of 900 Nm (664 lb-ft).
With an acceleration of 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.3 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 315 km/h (196 mph), the BRABUS 750 Bodo Buschmann Edition 1 of 25 delivers outstanding performance on the road.
The exterior of the roadster showcases the BRABUS Monoblock II evo “PLATINUM EDITION” three-spoke wheels, featuring 21-inch rims in the front and 22-inch rims in the rear. These wheels, combined with Brabus sports springs, enhance the wedge shape of the vehicle. The car’s aerodynamics are further improved with carbon aerodynamic-enhancement components designed for maximum efficiency in the wind tunnel.
Inside the cabin, the BRABUS MASTERPIECE interior showcases exquisite craftsmanship and attention to detail. The appointments feature elaborately quilted and embossed black leather and carbon, matching the sleek black exterior. The center console proudly displays a limited-edition badge bearing the signature of Bodo Buschmann himself.
The BRABUS 750 Bodo Buschmann Edition 1 of 25 is available as a complete car for €336,500 (export price in Germany, excluding statutory VAT).
The developers at BRABUS focused on achieving high performance with the BRABUS PowerXtra B40S-750 performance upgrade. They developed custom turbochargers with an enlarged compressor unit and a modified core assembly, resulting in increased power and torque. The engine’s power output is boosted by 165 horsepower (162 bhp) and 100 Nm (74 lb-ft) of torque. The modified engine produces a peak power of 750 horsepower (740 bhp) and an impressive peak torque of 900 Nm (664 lb-ft).
To complement the enhanced performance, the BRABUS stainless high-performance exhaust system features four carbon/titanium tailpipes, delivering a thrilling exhaust note. The system includes actively controlled butterfly valves that allow drivers to enjoy a subtle noise in the closed position or an exhilarating V8 symphony when set to “Sport” mode.
The roadster is equipped with a SPEEDSHIFT nine-speed transmission, offering automatic or manual shifting with paddle shifters on the steering wheel. Its agility is showcased by its acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.3 seconds. The top speed is electronically limited to 315 km/h (196 mph).
To ensure optimal control at high speeds, BRABUS developed an aerodynamics upgrade for the SL roadster, incorporating carbon components. The front spoiler reduces front-axle lift, while the side elements direct airflow past the front fender wells. Carbon enhancements on the sides and rear, such as front fender attachments and a diffuser insert, enhance the sporty appearance.
The iconic Brabus Monoblock II three-spoke rim design, featuring precise, thin slots in each spoke, has been revived with modern forging and machining technology. The Monoblock II evo “PLATINUM EDITION” alloys have a lockable hub cap with the Brabus logo, finished in “Shadow Gray” glazing for the BRABUS 750 Bodo Buschmann Edition 1 of 25.
Staying true to Bodo Buschmann’s preference for an all-black aesthetic, the Brabus MASTERPIECE interior of this edition features black leather upholstery and a combination of upholstery designs that showcase Brabus’ renowned interior design.
Limited to just 25 vehicles, the BRABUS 750 Bodo Buschmann Edition 1 of 25 is a supercar that embodies high performance, precision craftsmanship, and exclusivity. Brabus also offers all components and modifications individually for all current R 232 series models, allowing enthusiasts to customize their vehicles to their preferences and performance requirements.
