The Brabus 900 Rocket Edition starts at 381,243 euros (export price excluding VAT in Germany).
The marina of Monaco was the perfect backdrop for the world premiere of a new masterpiece from Brabus. The 2021 Monaco Yacht Show saw the world’s fastest street-legal SUV with a top speed of 330 km/h (205 mph) celebrating its world premiere: The Brabus 900 ROCKET EDITION.
The new supercar is built in a limited edition of 25 vehicles based on the Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S 4MATIC+ Coupe. The power comes from the Brabus ROCKET 900 V8 twin-turbo increased-displacement engine. Thanks to a displacement increase to 4.5 liters and an efficient high-performance forced induction system, this engine produces a peak output of 662 kW / 900 hp (888 bhp) and a peak torque of 1,250 Nm (922 lb-ft), limited in the car to 1,050 Nm (774 lb-ft).
As a result, the exclusive supercar slings itself from rest to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.2 seconds and does not stop until the electronic speed limiter reigns in the five-door all-wheel-drive coupe at 330 km/h (205 mph).
Exposed-carbon aerodynamic-enhancement components with sporty and elegant styling and tailor-made Brabus wheels including the 24-inch Monoblock Z “PLATINUM EDITION” forged wheels with carbon aero-discs pictured here give the 4×4 fastback equally athletic and exclusive looks.
Perfectly finished Brabus fine leather appointments in any desired color are available for customizing the interior.
The Brabus ROCKET 900 V8 twin-turbo increased-displacement engine makes the GLE 63 S 4MATIC+ Coupe and of course also its sibling with the standard five-door body a high-performance automobile in a class of its own.
To increase the displacement of the eight-cylinder engine from stock 3,982 cc to 4,407 cc (243 to 269 cu in), the cylinder bores are enlarged to 84 millimeters (3.3 in) and correspondingly larger forged pistons are installed. A special precision-balanced billet crankshaft with a stroke increased to 100 millimeters (3.9 in) and likewise forged, longer piston rods complete the displacement increase.
Once you open the hood, the Brabus 900 V8 increased-displacement engine can be recognized by the Brabus engine cover with red carbon fibers. Two high-pressure pumps with increased delivery rate and an additional boost pump supply the engine with fuel.
There are other equally elementary components of this high-performance engine hidden out of sight in the engine bay: The two production turbos are replaced by special Brabus turbochargers with larger compressor unit and modified core assemblies with reinforced axial bearing.
The engine modification also includes larger downpipes with a diameter of 75 millimeters (2.9 in) as well as metal catalysts and special particulate filters. The exhaust side is rounded off by the Brabus stainless sport exhaust system with integrated exhaust flaps and two Brabus titanium/carbon tailpipes with a diameter of 90 millimeters (3.5 in) on either side of the vehicle. This system offers an active sound management with a throaty V8 sound when the system is open or a subtle whisper in “Coming Home” mode.

The Brabus powerplant engineers and electronics specialists use their huge expertise to coordinate the optimal interaction of these high-performance components in extensive series bench tests and equally extensive road tests. This ensure not only maximum power delivery, but also textbook low emissions and flawless durability. Brabus documents this with the exemplary 3-year or 100,000-km/62,000-mile Brabus Tuning Warranty (see Brabus Warranty Terms and Conditions, updated July 2013). Brabus recommends high-performance lubricants from MOTUL.
The enormous constructive effort is reflected in outstanding performance. The peak output of 662 kW / 900 hp (888 bhp) at a low 6,200 rpm is a reference value in this vehicle category as is the massive peak torque of 1,250 Nm (922 lb-ft) between 2,500 and 4,500 rpm. This value is limited electronically in the vehicle to 1,050 Nm (774 lb-ft) to protect the driveline.
The performance of the Brabus 900 Rocket Edition on the road, shown here sporting a “Superior Gray” paint finish, matches these outstanding figures. From rest, the SUV weighing about 2.5 metric tons shoots to a speed of 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.2 seconds. Depending on the selected tire/wheel combination, the electronic speed limiter only cuts in at a speed of 330 km/h (205 mph).
Thrilling looks and optimal aerodynamic function: The Brabus designers developed bodywork components made from the hi-tech material carbon for the GLE 63 Coupe. They give the fastback an even more spectacular appearance. What is more: Thanks to its sophisticated shape, the chin spoiler attached to the lower section of the fascia minimizes front-axle lift at high speeds and consequently further optimizes the handling stability. The air intakes in the sides of the front bumper round off the striking Brabus look in concert with the Brabus front mesh and the two ram-air intakes. The intake on the driver’s side features a cross brace with ROCKET logo. Pulling on a door handle or approaching the supercar while carrying the keycard activates the integrated lighting of the emblem.
BRABUS developed carbon trim for the side air outlets in the rear fascia as well as a diffuser insert that perfectly showcases the four tailpipes of the Brabus high-performance exhaust system. The three-piece rear spoiler rounds off the aerodynamic-enhancement concept for the GLE Coupe.
BRABUS replaces the standard wheel arch extensions on the front and rear axle with sporty exposed-carbon fender flares. Brabus alloys for the GLE 63 come in various designs and with diameters of 21, 22, 23 or 24 inches. Pictured here is the most exclusive variant – Brabus Monoblock Z “PLATINUM EDITION” wheels with a diameter of 24 inches and exposed-carbon aero-discs. Thanks to state-of-the-art forging technology, these ten-spoke rims combine lightweight construction with outstanding strength.
BRABUS 900 Rocket Edition supercars with a top speed of 330 km/h (205 mph) come with Brabus Monoblock Y “PLATINUM EDITION” forged rims with a diameter of 23 inches and Continental high-performance tires.
The Brabus control module for the air suspension of the high-performance SUV, which lowers the ride height by about 25 millimeters (1 in), additionally contributes to the outstandingly agile handling for an SUV. It not only gives the all-wheel car a more thrilling visual stance, but also further enhances the driving dynamics thanks to lowering the center of gravity.
The refinement specialist from Bottrop also enjoys world renown in the field of automotive interior design. The company upholstery shop creates interior appointments for the Brabus 900 Rocket Edition as well, which are tailored to the customer’s wishes in every detail. The upholsterers use the finest Brabus Mastik leather, a particularly soft and breathable type of leather, and Alcantara to handcraft a high-quality Brabus fine leather interior in any desired color. The Brabus noble-wood and carbon interior sets also offer maximum variety in terms of colors and surface finishes.
The interior of the first example of the Brabus 900 Rocket Edition, which is painted “Superior Gray,” is color-coordinated with the exterior. The Brabus fine leather appointments were upholstered in gray leather matching the outer skin. The seat center sections and the inner sections of the door panels feature square quilting applied with pinpoint precision and additional perforations. To match the red brake calipers and the two likewise red signature stripes in the radiator grille, the leather features red contrasting highlights. In addition, all trim pieces in the cockpit sport red glazing. The same color also adorns the pedals, door pins and the RACE paddle shifters on the steering wheel. Stainless scuff plates with Brabus logo backlit in sync with the ambient lighting round off the interior.
