Brown’s floral making masterclasses will run throughout 2021, ahead of each calendar month so guests will have the opportunity to master the art of flower arranging throughout the year.
Brown’s, a Rocco Forte Hotel has partnered with one of London’s top florist, Ellie Hartley, together with Hambledon, one of Hampshire’s finest vineyards, to offer guests bespoke floral masterclasses accompanied by a tasting of English sparkling wine.
In time for the festive season, guests will be given the chance to create an expertly crafted wreath under Ellie’s watchful eye. Those attending Brown’s festive wreath making masterclass, will also be able to take home the wreath they created, as the perfect edition of finest foliage to complete their Christmas decorations. Using only the best quality materials, from pine cones to berries, fresh eucalyptus and cinnamon to beautiful velvet ribbons to finish off the wreath in style.
Ellie, who was appointed florist for Brown’s Hotel back in 2010 and opened her first boutique in Mayfair adjacent to the hotel back in 2016, is no stranger to the Brown’s family. She has been responsible for the stunning floral displays throughout the hotel whilst making her mark as Mayfair’s leading florist.
Growing and producing English sparkling wine since the 1950s, award winning Hambledon vineyard has a long and fascinating history as the location of the first English commercial vineyard. Producing a selection of four different wines, from Classic Cuvee to Classic Cuvee Rose, Premiere Cuvée and Première Cuvée Rosé, guests will have the opportunity to sample all these during an in-depth tasting session, hosted by one of Hambledon’s brand ambassadors.
In addition, guests will also enjoy a festive Brown’s Hotel traditional afternoon tea menu, created by Head Pastry Chef, Reece Collier. This December, guests can expect both sweet and savoury treats from ‘Truffled Clarence
Court egg mayonnaise on rustic loaf’, to ‘Chestnut and blackcurrant Mont Blanc’ and ‘Gingerbread and caramel
mouse’.
