During the couture shows in Paris in June, the Schiaparelli maison will host the annual “rendez-vous”, during which contemporary designers are asked to give their interpretation of the late designer. French fasion designer Christian Lacroix will present a 15-piece couture collection, viewed as “one-time tribute to Elsa Schiaparelli.” Each dress will be a reinterpretation of the late designer’s most famous creations.
The Schiaparelli house, closed in the 1950s, announced the relaunch with a first line in January, but, lacking a head designer, the date has been moved back.The new artistic director that will come to Schiaparelli will develop collections on behalf of the fashion house in addition to the annual artist interpretations.
Meanwhile, the House of Christian Lacroix and the accessories specialist Accessories Headquarters Meanwh(AHQ) announced a partnership for the development, manufacturing and distribution of Men and Women accessories, including handbags, small leather goods and travel accessories in North America starting with Holiday 2013.
