For the inaugural 2015 London Yacht, Jet and Prestige Car Show, automotive fashion house Kahn Design flanked the red carpet entrance with two luxury vehicles Project Kahn Range Rover Sport 400-LE and Chelsea Truck Company Wide Track Defender 90.
Project Kahn Range Rover Sport 400-LE
The 400-LE boasts redesigned front and rear bumper assemblies formed in lightweight carbon composite with carbon fibre detailing, alongside a matching front grille with 3D mesh and floating insert in carbon fibre. To the rear, a custom stainless steel crosshair exhaust system with carbon fibre exhaust diffuser, and boot lid interior trim in carbon fibre complete the aesthetic enhancements.
On the outside, the car has been given a colour change to Volcanic Rock Satin, with a floating roof in Piano Black and Piano Black detailing to the bonnet vent and side vent surrounds.
As with all vehicles offered by Project Kahn, the Range Rover Sport 400-LE can be tailored to a customer’s precise specification.
The lightweight wheels are part of a collection specifically designed for the Range Rover, and show off the gold painted brake calipers and low profile tyres.
Hidden from view by the dark tinted privacy glass, the entire interior has been reimagined, with front and rear seats in quilted and perforated herringbone black leather, hand stretched and stitched in Project Kahn’s British trim shop.
Chelsea Truck Company Wide Track Defender 90
Based on Britain’s most iconic 4 x 4, the Land Rover Defender has been given a wealth of enhancements by the Chelsea Truck Company team.
From the distinctive X-Lander front grille to the branded spare wheel cover at the rear the Land Rover has been transformed from a rugged off roader to a stylish urban explorer. A complete colour change to Volcanic Rock Satin ensures the Chelsea Wide Track Defender stands out from the crowd.
Front and rear wide wings with integrated vents and bolt apertures give the Defender a more aggressive silhouette, complemented by a replacement bumper with integrated lights and aluminium sump guard. Subtle additions include LED diamond bright headlamps, stainless steel bonnet and side vents, stainless steel quad exhaust system, and tinted privacy glass.
A set of custom designed wheels are complemented by painted brake calipers and mud flaps.
The interior boasts front GTB sports seats and rear folding seats, hand trimmed in the Chelsea Truck Company’s UK workshop, in quilted and perforated leather
and Harris Tweed trim, with matching upholstery to the centre glove box.
Additional Harris Tweed trim adorns the rear door panel, roof grab handles, passenger dashboard top and grab handle, instrument binnacle, door panels and rear passenger knee protectors. Machined aluminium foot pedals and stainless steel door sill plates add to the luxury feel.
