The tradition of Sicilian Baroque, a source of inspiration so loved by Dolce & Gabbana in the past seasons, evolved in the 2013 Spring Summer into a easy-to-wear, fresh yet elegantly chic collection influenced by the Caltagirone region. This time, their inspiration came from the 1000 year old traditions that the region had to offer which has been long famous for the production of Maiolica and Terra-cotta wares.
Traditionally painted in the colours of Sicily, the pieces were mashed up in traditional patterns and textures of each key piece within the new collection. The dresses were printed with over-the-top traditional artifacts of the region and in typical colours of the local pottery mainly in sage green, yellow and orange.
