Maranello Won Two Of The Highest Distincitions In The Same Edition Of The Prestigious Red Dot Awards.
For the first time in history, Ferrari has won the highest distinction of the Red Dot Design Award in two separate categories: the Ferrari Purosangue in the Product Design category, and the Ferrari Vision GT in the Innovative Products category.
Ferrari has once again dominated the prestigious Red Dot Awards, making history by winning the top distinction in two separate categories. The Ferrari Purosangue, Maranello’s first-ever four-door, four-seater car, was named the Best of the Best in the Product Design category, while the Ferrari Vision Gran Turismo was awarded the same title in the Innovative Products category. Adding to the tally, the 296 GTS, the first V6 spider to sport the Prancing Horse badge, also received a Red Dot Award.
Since 2015, Ferrari has won an incredible 26 Red Dot Awards, a feat that no other car marque has achieved in the Awards’ 69-year history. This year, the jury recognised the spectacularly seductive lines of the Ferrari Purosangue and the Ferrari Vision Gran Turismo, which were designed by the Flavio Manzoni-headed Ferrari Styling Centre. The Purosangue’s sleek, athletic exteriors and luxurious cabin make it a versatile car that marries unparalleled comfort with the driving thrills that are a signature of all Ferraris.
Meanwhile, the Vision Gran Turismo’s speed form and angular geometric lines create a car with an instantly recognisable personality, which centres around an aerodynamic concept based on two imposing Ferrari-patented side channels.
These awards further underline Ferrari’s commitment to excellence and innovation in the world of industrial design. The Red Dot Awards are one of the most important and prestigious prizes in the sector, celebrating the work of the world’s leading designers. The 2023 edition of the awards ceremony will take place on June 19 in Essen, Germany.
