EDITION SPECIALE by LUXE PACK, the trade show dedicated to sustainable premium packaging, will be held on 7 and 8 June 2023, where 79 exhibitors and over 2,000 visitors are expected.
For its fourth year, EDITION SPECIALE by LUXE PACK, the only trade show in France dedicated to eco-designed packaging, continues its green ascension and confirms its two ambitions: position itself as a benchmark with packaging manufacturers, by promoting sustainable packaging innovation for all sectors of activity (fragrance/cosmetics, wines and spirits, delicatessen, fashion, leather goods, etc.) and deliver content with high added value for all brands, regardless of their progress in eco-design thinking.
Increased participation of leaders and arrival of new stakeholders
This event will host 79 exhibitors selected for their know-how and expertise in Sustainable Packaging Eco-Design.
Exhibitors include leading luxury packaging manufacturers as well as 30% new international stakeholders to guarantee visitors a range of packaging solutions designed with concern for the environmental: weight reduction, reloadability, ‘clean’ finishing, natural materials, plant-based wedges, etc.
Companies that have confirmed their participation: BORMIOLI LUIGI, CENTURY BOX, ESTAL, EDELMANN, FAVINI, GAINERIE 91, KNOLL, GMUND, PROCOS, KURZ, SEGEDE, TAPI, VIMER, VAN GENECHTEN, etc.
New exhibitors include: BR CONDITIONNEMENT, MAESTRO PACKAGING, COTTON BLUE, COFATECH, FVL, GAINERIE MODERNE , PROOFTAG, PUJOLASOS, ARTECH BEAUTY, mPACKING, UPSIDE CREATIVE SOLUTIONS, HOLY SAMPLING, DOT2DOT, etc.
New this year! A ‘Startups Packaging’ space will welcome young companies developing innovative alternatives, the identity of which is to create a new circular economy by using renewable resources to manufacture new materials and products.
These include:
- The German start-up REZEMO has already made a name for itself in the sector with FOREWOOD, its wood fiber-based cosmetic packaging.
- RAIKU’s Estonian team is ending plastic bubble wrap by using wood as a substitute.
- Hong Kong-based HK BIOTECH is replacing polystyrene foam with mycelium.
- WASTEA, based in Turkey, offers a 100% sustainable, plant-based, and organic alternative to genuine leather, made from dry tea waste.

The programme at the heart of the event with new formats
Since its creation, EDITION SPECIALE by LUXE PACK has put its programme at the heart of the event, and offers educational and expert content through conferences and workshops on concrete topics, in line with issues brands face every day. This year, the show will go a step further by multiplying the formats to address both expert brands that have put eco-design at the heart of their pack development projects, and brands that are new to the topic.
‘More than just a trade show, this educational event will provide the keys to understanding the environmental transformation of packaging in all the sectors of activity concerned‘, explained the organiser.
The programme will therefore be based on four main formats:
Workshops. As a major innovation in 2023, the show will be using the Bar area of the Carreau du Temple to organise workshops led by professionals recognised in their respective field of expertise: L’ADEME, CITEO, COOPERATIVE MU, (RE)SET, RE-SOURCES, ARNAUD LE BERRIGAUD, PASCALE BROUSSE, and GERALD MARTINES. In small groups to interact, debate, and foster exchanges between brands on their current eco-design issues. Resources, LCA, semantics, reuse, etc., all of these topics will be addressed during these Master Classes.
Round tables with a panel of speakers from emblematic or rising brands as well as representatives of associations and experts positioned as true mentors, delivering the keys to meeting the packaging industry’s current sustainable development challenges.
Speakers :
ECOSPIRITS, AMALTHEA and LE PHILTRE VODKA for ‘Refills: still a far cry from market reality?’
CITEO, PLASTICS EUROPE, and CARTON ONDULE DE France for ‘What recyclability for what material’
FEBEA, E3CONSEIL, and Cabinet Keller and Heckman for ‘French and European Regulations: How to navigate the various draft packaging laws. An analysis’.
GUERLAIN, Champagne TELMONT, NELLY RODI, and DYPTIQUE for ‘Gifting, Celebration, Samples:How far can engaged brands change consumer habits?’
Feedback: in pairs, exhibitors will take the floor with their brand customer to share their experience of concrete use cases based on key themes (natural materials, reuse, recycling, weight reduction, etc.)
Pitches: the materials revolution is a powerful lever for change! Discover these innovators who are developing efficient and sustainable alternatives for the environment: wool, recycled shell, cork, plant fibres, marine waste, natural raw materials, etc. They will have 10 minutes to win you over!
