Hollywood actress Emily Blunt has bagged her first big beauty campaign, starring in Yves Saint Laurent’s fall/winter campaign for the fashion house’s iconic Opium fragrance.
According to a press release, Blunt will “unveil a fiery, almost reckless woman with magnetic seduction, that nobody or nothing can resist.”
The star, who follows in the footsteps of the likes of Kate Moss and Sophie Dahl, said that she found it “really exciting to embody a fragrance which has stood the test of time without its allure ever being diminished.”
Opium was first launched in 1977 and includes notes ranging from mandarin orange, bergamot, lily of the valley, jasmine and myrrh to vanilla, patchouli, and amber.
Blunt’s ads — photographed by Romain Gavras and Patrick Demarchelier — will be unveiled at the beginning of next month.
