Fairline Yachts at Cannes Yachting Festival 2016: Generous living spaces flow freely from one area to the next to create an exquisite ambience in which to relax, explore and entertain.
The start of the boat show season is celebrated by all the shipyards all over the world with new design creations. British luxury motor yacht manufacturer, Fairline Yachts, showcased an impressive line-up of Squadron and Targa models at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival, including the world debut of the new Squadron 65 hardtop. Style, performance and integrity are the inspiration values behind every one of Fairline’ss 13,000 beautifully built boats.
Visitors to the stand were able to experience three of Fairline’s most popular boats, including the new Squadron65 hardtop, the Targa 53GT – which was launched to international acclaim at last year’s Southampton Boat Show – and the ever popular Targa 48 OPEN.
“Following the success of the Hardtop option on the Squadron 78, together with feedback from ourcustomers and international dealer network, we are pleased to now offer this useful addition to the Squadron65, which can be experienced for the first time at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival,” said Russell Currie, Managing Director at Fairline Yachts.

- Squadron 65 Hard Top
The attractively proportioned Fairline Squadron65 is now available with a factory fitted hardtop. The sleek hardtop contains a canvas, sliding sunroof and adjustable mood lighting.
“In our experience, Squadron flybridge yachts attract a particular type of customer. They want the security of well-proven design features but at the same time they demand the sophisticated advances in marine engineering,” explained Fairline’s team of experts.
Sumptuous furnishings and hand-worked cabinetry are classic hallmarks of Fairline’s Squadron range and nowhere is it more elegantly expressed than in the long, wide single-level interior – a testament to the 65’s ingenious flat floor design.
The huge flybridge provides ample space with three distinct social areas – a forward cruising chaise longue and sun pad, aft facing sunbeds and a seating/dining area, offering a truly relaxing lounge area to enjoy. The Squadron 65’s free-flowing saloon area allows guests to interact freely
and with the galley positioned at the heart of the yacht, socialising is easy. The master cabin enjoys a spacious, open plan ensuite and there is the option of either three additional cabins and three ensuites or a three cabin, three ensuite with day head or utility area.
- Targa 53GT. Redefining the 50 foot boating experience
Fairline’s newest express cruiser, the Targa 53GT, was unveiled at last year’s Southampton Boat Show, and represents not just a new model but an entirely new concept, which sets the standard in choice and personalisation.
Hand crafted to order by Fairline’s highly experienced and dedicated British craftsmen, the Targa 53GT allows customers to design and purchase something that is truly their boat.
Recognised for nearly 50 years as guardians of British ingenuity and engineering of the ‘Boater’s Boat’, Fairline has attended to every detail – from the unrivalled performance, proven sea-keeping, and the exceptional quality of every aspect of on board space, facilities and features.
- Targa 48 OPEN
The Targa 48 OPEN is one of the most exciting sports cruisers on the water and the first to feature Fairline’s sumptuous new interiors scheme. A beautifully appointed two cabin, double en-suite model, the Targa 48 OPEN embraces the design trend of spacious sociable areas – both inside and out. The model also features an electric canvas roof as standard, as well as a garage for a jet tender and the option of a submersible platform. The Targa 48 OPEN offers great performance and manoeuvrability thanks to its IPS joystick control and 2017 sees performance increasing further with the introduction of the Volvo Penta IPS700 engine option.
