Moët & Chandon shares effervescently festive spirit in Paris and New York.
A much-loved part of holiday celebrations around the world, Moët & Chandon kicked off the festive season in spectacular form with elegant evenings in Paris and New York, welcoming A-list guests around champagne and music. Attended by Berta de Pablos-Barbier, President & CEO of Moët & Chandon, and Benoît Gouez, Chef de Cave of the House, the events transformed the Palais Brongniart and Lincoln Center into sparkling holiday celebrations.
In New York, Moët & Chandon hosted a memorable evening for friends of the House including Roger Federer, Sue Bird and Don C. Jessica Chastain, Emily Ratajkowski, Sienna Miller, Michaela Coel and other A-list guests, who discovered the monumental installation “Your Voices” by artist Es Devlin, which Moët & Chandon commissioned, along with live performances by New York choral groups. The fête continued against a backdrop of popping champagne corks with DJ sets by Heron Preston and Vashtie before a surprise performance by Mariah Carey, who had everyone up and dancing to her planetary permahit “All I Want for Christmas is You”.
In Paris, Moët & Chandon chose the Palais Brongniart as the surprise venue for an exceptional evening.
Welcoming Belgian singer Angèle, disco icon Gloria Gaynor and DJ Kungs, the House showcased its inimitable festive spirit. Roger Federer, Natalie Portman, Vincent Cassel and Naomi Harris were all on hand to enjoy culinary creations by Chef Yannick Alléno, paired with Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage 2004. The Moët & Chandon ambassador was joined by Alexia Duchêne and Yann Couvreur, chefs whose imaginations are as effervescent as the House’s emblematic Moët Impérial cuvée, shining a sparkling light on the very best of French gastronomy.
“The holiday season is an important and meaningful time for our House, with moments of celebration, sharing with loved ones and generosity,” said Berta de Pablos-Barbier. “As we look forward to our 280th anniversary next year, we are honored to bring the values of the world’s most beloved champagne to these iconic cities.”
In tradition with its “Toast For A Cause”, this year Moët & Chandon supports the Endangered Language Alliance in the United States, which strives to preserve global languages. In France, the House supports the GoodPlanet Foundation, created by French ecologist Yann Arthus-Bertrand to promote biodiversity. This commitment resonates with Moët & Chandon’s own “Natura Nostra” agroecology program, which supports greater biodiversity in ecosystems and works to protect local flora and fauna in the Champagne region.
Moët & Chandon will celebrate its 280th anniversary in 2023. Guests in both New York and Paris were treated to a sneak peak of the great festivities in store, discovering the Grand Vintage 2004 served from Jeroboam bottles. In the run-up to this anniversary, Moët & Chandon raises a glass to champagne lovers everywhere.
