Raffles Boston Opens in Boston’s Back Bay, Marking the First Raffles Hotel & Residences in North America. Raffles Boston is a 35-Story Sustainable New-Build Hotel with 147 Guestrooms.
Raffles Boston, the stunning hotel from the illustrious hospitality brand, Raffles Hotels & Resorts, opens its doors to guests.
Boston, a city steeped in history, culture, and sophistication, has long been a destination for travelers seeking a blend of the old and the new. It’s fitting, then, that the legendary Raffles Hotels & Resorts has chosen this vibrant metropolis as the canvas for their inaugural venture into North America. The result? Raffles Boston, a 35-story sustainable new-build hotel and residence that promises to redefine luxury living in the Back Bay neighborhood.
Stepping into Raffles Boston is like entering an oasis in the heart of the bustling Back Bay.
Upon arrival, guests are greeted by a three-story Sky Lobby on the 17th floor, with an iconic Grand Stair spiraling through the atrium—a nod to Raffles’ rich heritage. But this lobby isn’t just a place to check-in; it’s a space designed for socializing, where you’ll find four distinct food and beverage venues.
For those with a taste for culinary excellence, Amar by Chef George Mendes offers modern Portuguese cuisine influenced by Boston’s seafaring culture. The Long Bar & Terrace, a masterpiece by Paolo Ferrari, pairs cocktails with sweeping views of the South End. And if you’re in the mood for something clandestine, the Speakeasy serves up specially crafted cocktails and small bites.
The 17th floor is also home to the Raffles Writer’s Lounge, a signature space known for hosting esteemed writers and poets within the Raffles family worldwide. Here, you can immerse yourself in creativity while taking in breathtaking views of the city.
Indulgence and Wellness
On the 4th floor, Raffles Boston continues to pamper its guests. An exclusive state-of-the-art gym awaits fitness enthusiasts, while a 20-meter indoor pool offers expansive city views—an invigorating way to start or end your day. For the ultimate indulgence, the Guerlain Spa at Raffles Boston provides treatments in partnership with the renowned Parisian beauty and wellness brand.
A Hub of Culture and Luxury
Raffles Boston’s location reinforces the city’s global reputation as a top-tier international destination. Situated next to The University Club and adjacent to Boston’s Back Bay train station, it’s within a stone’s throw of Copley Square, Trinity Church, and premiere luxury shopping at Copley Place. The iconic Newbury Street, the Museum of Fine Arts, Fenway Park, and Symphony Hall are just a few of the notable attractions in the vicinity.
A Collaborative Vision
Behind this masterpiece is a team of visionaries. The Architectural Team (TAT) Inc. designed the building’s exterior, while the hospitality design firm Stonehill Taylor crafted the hotel rooms and several amenity spaces. The acclaimed Rockwell Group brought the Fitness Center and Spa, as well as the Raffles Residences, to life.
The development team is a partnership of locals Jordan Warshaw of The Noannet Group and hotelier Gary Saunders of Saunders Hotel Group, alongside their global development and equity partner Cain International, with Madison Realty Capital providing construction financing.
As Oliver Dudler, General Manager of Raffles Boston, aptly puts it, “Years in the making, this hotel will transport the legacy of the Raffles brand to Boston, welcoming travelers and locals alike to experience its allure—from impeccable design and exceptional food & beverage programming to indulgent wellness offerings and world-class service.”
A Historic Moment for Boston
Cain International, Noannet Group, and Saunders Hotel Group couldn’t agree more. “The opening of Raffles Boston is a historic moment for the City of Boston as it brings this iconic hospitality brand to North America,” they say. “Just like Boston, Raffles is intrinsically global and local, historic and modern.”
