Seven unique scents inspired by the British countryside and personalised for every perfume fan.
Burberry Bespoke has been created by renowned perfumer Francis Kurkdjian, under the creative direction of Christopher Bailey. An award-winning master of fragrance creation for over 20 years, Francis is one of the most highly regarded noses in the industry having developed some of the world’s best-loved and acclaimed scents, including the My Burberry collection.
According to Burberry, The new perfume family “encapsulates the British spirit – inspired by artistry, the elements and memorable landscapes. Each fragrance is unique and individual; evoking emotions and memories.” Not so imaginative the description.
Each scent is available in either one, two or three varying concentrations, ensuring it feels completely unique to the wearer. Burberry Bespoke can only be purchased exclusively in store.
The Bespoke bottle can then be personalised with up to three monogrammed initials printed on to the front labelling, and it will be finished with your choice of leather ribbon – selected from 16 complementary Burberry shades.
“The idea of the collection came up at the very beginning of my collaboration with Christopher, and it went through many different creative stages and ideas. We knew it had to be a narrative, created with a free spirit and no limit or boundaries,” explained the French contemporary perfumer, businessman, and winner of the Prix François Coty in 2001 for his lifetime achievements.
Amber Heath is a modern amber scent with golden vanilla, patchouli and undertones of ambergris accord. High Tide is a mix of crisp and green marine notes dancing with oakmoss absolute, settled with fresh jasmine. Tudor Rose is a shimmering scent of Bulgarian Damask rose and May rose, finished with notes of patchouli and ambergris accord. The fresh and gentle florals of the Hawthorn Bloom perfume are paired with Orris and violet balance musk, patchouli and jasmine. In the Burberry Bespoke Garden Roses scent the fragrant Bulgarian rose is layered with Italian lemon oil and vetiver. Antique Oak is an homage to the captivating oud and sensual leather. Earthy, refined saffron and papyrus. Wild Thistle is an equation which includes lush, evergreen leaves, galbanum oil, floral notes and geranium leaf.
Kurkdjian was made famous at age 26 for designing the scent of Le Male for Jean Paul Gaultier, one of the world best selling perfumes. This was followed by an additional forty creations for major perfume companies worldwide. Some of these creations include the Elie Saab Le Parfum (Elie Saab), My Burberry (Burberry), L’extase (Nina Ricci) and Narciso Rodriguez for her (Narciso Rodriguez). In 2009, he co-founded luxury fragrance house Maison Francis Kurkdjian with the Lebanese-French businessman and former Ernst & Young partner Marc Chaya, now a major global player in the luxury niche fragrance segment.
