The Trip is the latest selection of high-end products created by Yves Saint Laurent designer Anthony Vaccarello in collaboration with some of the most well-known luxury brands.
Named ‘RIVE DROITE’ as a nod to SAINT LAURENT rive gauche line, that helped to democratize fashion and luxury in the sixties. SAINT LAURENT RIVE DROITE introduces a brand new retail destination for expression, exchange, and lifestyle, showcasing a wide range of products including exclusive pieces, limited editions, library, vintage, music, photography combined with art, performances, exhibitions, events, and cultural exchanges. Conceptualized by Saint Laurent Creative Director Anthony Vaccarello, the extensive and diversified offer from different creative and design fields, are imagined and embraced in new ways.
For the second time, Saint Laurent Rive Droite collaborates with ski manufacturer ZAI to develop unique high-end ski and snowboards.
The skis are exclusively available in zebra print at Saint Laurent Rive Droite stores and on YSL.com (213 Rue Saint-Honoré, Paris and 469 Rodeo Drive, Los Angeles).
Saint Laurent Rive Droite collaborations include luxury saddlery brand Butet and the iconic French brand S.T Dupont. S.T Dupont joined YSL design team to create a unique “orfevre facette” lighter model, with clean lines.
Butet have joined forces to meet the demands of riders. For more than thirty years, Butet saddles have been minimal yet elegant with incomparable finishes, alluring riders in search of balance. Made in France, in their workshops in Saumur, Butet saddles are also distinguished by the prestigious Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant label.
Saint Laurent Rive Droite and Baghera have designed a bike together. The UWL surfboards have developed a unique surfboard. Specialized in custom boards since 1991, the workshop manufactures high performance surfboards, 100% made in France.
Hervet Manufacturier has created a longboard made of paldao wood. Hervet Manufacturier creates and manufactures furniture and decorative objects with inimitable design, influenced by the visions of the previous century.
All their furniture is designed with meticulous respect for the traditional techniques of carpentry, cabinet making, marquetry and upholstery, using the finest and most durable materials on the planet Earth: exotic woods, full grain leathers and metals.
“The French Maison also thinks about the leisure time of adults and children, by presenting for the collection The Trip a solitaire game made of wood by Hervet-manufacturier, while for the little ones Wild & Soft thinks of a set of stuffed animals and a bicycle with matching helmet made by Baghera. The selection concludes with music, which features a limited edition vinyl by Slrd of the “Incarnadine” album by the post-punk band Curses.
The campaign is shot by Marco Walker, a photographer known for his innovative approach to photography and for creating modern installations and collages.
