Noses Alberto Morillas, Julie Massé and Dominique Ropion for Yves Saint Laurent Oriental
The Orient-inspired and Arab-styled fragrance trend was translated by Yves Saint Laurent into a new trio collection of perfumes based on rose, leather, white flowers, the irreplaceable oud wood, violet leaves and pink pepper.
Celebrating the mysteries and refinement of a land of infinite richness, Yves Saint Laurent Oriental collection is a reminder of YSL’s Orientalist legacy (Opium), following in the footsteps of Christian Dior La Collection Privée, Armani Privé La Collection des Mille et une Nuits, and Les Deserts d’Orient by Guerlain.
Majestic Rose, Noble Leather, and Supreme Bouquet trio has been developed by noses Alberto Morillas, Julie Massé, and, Dominique Ropion, respectively.
Inspired from the splendours of the East, Alberto Morillas’ Majestic Rose is a tribute to the queen of flowers, surrounded by oud wood, vanilla, gaiac wood, and notes of bergamot, papyrus, and raspberry.
Noble Leather is a mixture of leather, tobacco, dried fruit and patchouli oil. Julie Massé also introduced violet leaves, saffron, pure vanilla and mandarin.
The Oriental trio is completed by Dominique Ropion‘s vison of a spicy and fruity Supreme Bouquet: essence of bergamot, pink pepper and pear meet jasmine sambac, ylang-ylang and musk.
The 80ml bottle is priced at €175.
