A new Limited Edition G-SHOCK with Titanium 64 – a material seven times harder than pure titanium.
CASIO’s shock-resistant G-SHOCK watch has a new limited edition. Luxury G-Shock timepiece expanded its range with a
new titanium alloy treatment.
Designed at Casio’s Yamagata Factory in Japan, the Basel special version of the G-SHOCK MR-G – MRGG1000RT-1A is crafted with a new titanium alloy treatment – Titanium 64. Ti64’s composition of 90% titanium, 6% aluminum, and 4% vanadium makes for a material that is seven times harder than pure titanium. Paired with the tough Ti64 protection is a “Japan Blue” DLC treatment on the case and bracelet, gold front screws and crown, and anti-glare sapphire glass.
The finishing touch is a recrystalized bezel that is inspired by the nie pattern that is characteristic of Japanese
swords and represents the pinnacle of Japanese craftsmanship. This process gives the bezel and metal plate a rich
finish that reflects a distinctive glow in the light.
The MR-G Basel limited edition timepiece has an array of superior features, the most pronounced being the hybrid
technology of GPS and Multiband 6, allowing for accurate timekeeping at all times, anywhere in the world. Additional
features include Shock Resistance, 200M Water Resistance, Tough Solar, Latitude Indicator, Airplane Mode, World Time (29 Time Zones, 40 Cities + UTC), LED (Super Illuminator), Daily Alarm, Full Auto Calendar, 1/20th Sec. Stopwatch (24min), Countdown Timer (24Hr), and Day/Date Display, and a Case Size of 56.0 mm.
The G-SHOCK MR-G GPS Atomic Solar Hybrid Basel Special Limited Edition MRGG1000RT-1A will retail for $6,000.00 USD and will be available from September, 2015.
