Inaugurated during the furniture fair Salone del Mobile 2019, the temporary store Gucci Décor by Alessandro Michele will remain open until June.
Salone del Mobile 2019, the most keenly awaited event in the world of furniture, is the best occasion to dive into all things furniture & design. Luxury Italian house Gucci is taking advantage with a pop-up design store spread over two floors in 19 Via Santo Spirito in Milan.
The new high-end temporary store in Milan is housing the Gucci Décor collection, showcasing new releases and established pieces from the Gucci Décor collection of furniture, furnishings and decorative items designed by Alessandro Michele.
Gucci has also updated its Gucci App with a duo of special functions. An augmented reality technology enables Gucci fans to see what furniture pieces from the Gucci Décor Collection will look like in their own spaces. Another function introduced on the Gucci App allows users to discover spots around Milan where Gucci Décor products become virtual sculptures on screen together with a story about the piece and location. The list includes such iconic addresses like Richard Ginori, Piazza Duomo and Piazza Affari.
Displaying a firm commitment to craft and artisanal skills, Gucci Décor temporary store in Milan includes wallpapers with an original drawing by Antoinette Poisson, a collection of porcelain mugs produced by Richard Ginori featuring the luxury house codes and patterns designed by Gucci’s Creative Director.
The interior design line also includes scented candles in porcelain jars, lacquered chairs upholstered with embroidered seats, double-sided screens crafted in wood and velvet, luxurious trays, cushions, mugs and metal folding tables designed to personalize the home.
