Klepcys collection by Cyrus pays tribute to the ancient city of Babylon. The case is decked out in 18-carat red gold or 18-carate grey gold and brushed with Grade 5 titanium, topped off with a DLC finish. The Klepcys Collection by Cyrus patented mechanism is limited to 88 pieces and boasts three exceptional functions:
I) The retrograde hand moves along the 180° axis and changes colour depending on the time of day. Regardless of the hand’s position, the minute and second discs are always aligned and accurate during the linear reading of time. This patented alignment is based on a one-of-a-kind mechanism which controls the speed of the (retrograde and rotating) hour, minute, and second wheels.
II) The date. The units digits (from 0 to 9) rest one on top of the other, while the tens digits change before the units digits. Once the tens digit reaches the figure 9, the figure moves in retrograde and rotates by 90 degrees. This simultaneously opens the space for the next tens digits placed before ‘0’.
III) The moon phases, located at the bottom right corner, is a cheeky homage to the Tower of Babel, which, according to legends, soared 91 meters above ground and was known as the tower with “its tops in the heavens”, where all the stars and moons reside.
