McLaren have partnershiped with Links of London to create a range of man jewellery and leather accessories. The collection is modelled by Lewis Hamilton and Jensen Button, shown with silver rings, bangles and dog tags which are reinforced with highly-durable synthetic fabric Kevlar.
The launch event was held at One Hyde Park, Knightsbridge. The jewellery collection on show against a backdrop of fabulous cars. On display were a F1 showcar and the MP4-4 car as driven by Ayrton Senna during the 1988 F1 season.
Tim Goss, Engineering Director at McLaren and Philippe Cogoli, Head of Men’s Jewellery & Watches were in conversation with guest host Nargess Shamanesh Banks discussing the inspiration behind each jewellery piece of engineered art.
McLaren Sport by Links of London collection highlights the construction of the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes’ Formula 1 cars.
The collection plays with a host of brushed metal and matt finishes, interlocking sections of stainless steel and a patented McLaren screw; which until now was used solely in the McLaren Technology Centre.
