It is clear that this Christmas will not be a typical festive period due to the pandemic, but there are still ways to enjoy the holidays. Now more than ever, you will want to show your loved ones that you care about them but this is obviously challenging when there are so many restrictions in place. So, what are a few good ways to show them that you care this year?
Write Them A Handwritten Letter
In a time of text messages, emails and social media, there is something special about a handwritten letter and it is sure to make the recipient’s day. Writing a letter shows a great deal of thought and effort has gone into the message and allows you to show that you have been thinking about them throughout this challenging period.
Video Calls
For loved ones that you are not able to see in person this Christmas, video calls are the next best thing and can actually be a great way to keep in touch and even have some fun. You could play games, have a few drinks together or even watch films together at the same time if this is something that you are missing this year.

Chocolate Delivery
The holidays are always a time for indulging and enjoying yourself and this will be particularly important after such a difficult year. Arranging chocolate delivery to their house will be a nice touch and certainly well-received and a nice way to show that you have been thinking about them.
Care Package
Similarly, you could send a loved one a care package this Christmas with everything that they like and will enjoy using over the holiday period – this is a particularly good option if somebody will be alone over the holidays.

Make Plans
It is tough not being able to spend time with loved ones, especially during the holidays. There is light at the end of the tunnel with the rollout of the vaccine, so it could be a nice idea to make some plans together for when things are safe and start to return to normal which will give you both something to look forward to.
Hopefully, this will give you a few ideas for ways that you can show your loved ones that you care this Christmas. It will be a challenging and different holiday season to normal, but it can still be special and you will want to make the effort to show your loved ones that they are in your thoughts.
