Loro Piana Passpartout – first collection dedicated to hospitality sector
Loro Piana’s partnership with Zai
Italian supplier of luxury fabrics to superyachts and the high-end hotel industry, Loro Piana, unveiled its newest project, Passepartout. Its first dedicated hospitality collection, it features specially selected fireproof wools and cashmeres to be matched to the Trevira CS fabrics. There are 11 items available in 79 different colours.
Loro Piana teamed up this winter with high-end ski manufacturer Zai to create technically advanced outfit for the slope. Zai has recently branched into outerwear with the Cassacca.
The fabric used for zai cassacca is produced by Loro Piana. The main fabric consists of 94% wool, 5% cashmere and 1% elastane, the reinforcing fabrics for legs and shoulders are made of 62% wool, 34% polyamide and 4% elastane. Loro Piana treats these fabrics with their Storm System, a process involving lamination with a membrane and a layer of microfibre.
The latter supplies additional thermal insulation. The fabric’s surface is finished with Rain System, which makes water slide off.
