Tambour Spin Time Regatta – Louis Vuitton’s piece for Only Watch 2013.
The first-class complication developed by the Maison Louis Vuitton‘s watchmakers in Tambour Spin Time Regatta watch was intended to help skippers, in the heat of the action. From September 28th, as special version of Tambour Spin Time Regatta will help the research on Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
On September 28, the Principality of Monaco will be hosting the quintessence of high horology for the annual Only Watch fundraising event. 33 watch manufactures among the most renowned will each propose a unique timepiece specially realized for the occasion.
Louis Vuitton’s extra special watch is designed in collaboration with young Paul Pettavino, the boy with Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Paul’s father it LUC Pettavino, the initiator of the Only Watch event and the president of the Monaco Association against Muscular Dystrophies. A painted Louis Vuitton Damier canvas trunk with a message signed by the young boy accompany the set.
Tambour Spin Time Regatta features Blue sunray effect dial set with 18K gold applied indexes and numerals and with a hand-engraved 18K gold boat, designed by Paul Pettavino (sail & flag are made of 18K white gold hand covered with white enamel with a blue and red LV logo. The hull made of pink gold hand painted with Paul’s name in red.
