Fashion Plates arrived at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York. Mercedes-Benz is recognizing a group of designers and insiders through its Fashion Plates initiative to benefit amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research.
A group of over 30 designers and front row fashion influencers are participating in the Fashion Plates initiative this season and stretching their creativity in a direction beyond dressing to impress. They created custom license plates showing off their fashion forward thinking, which are on display within the lobby of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Lincoln Center from February 7-14, 2013.
The Mercedes-Benz Fashion Plates initiative reveals unique personal tidbits for many key personalities within the fashion community. The list includes top designers showing at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week such as Anna Sui , Badgley Mischka , Betsey Johnson , Carmen Marc Valvo and Jenny Packham to key influencers including Karlie Kloss , Derek Blasberg and Danielle Nachmani.
The all-new 2014 CLA-Class, making its Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week debut, also received its own Fashion Plate: “RDY2WEAR”. The CLA-Class, designed as a four-door style rebel, is set to establish a new entry segment within Mercedes-Benz and will be on center stage throughout the week inspiring go-to fashion-forward looks for every day wear.
