Mosaert trio’s Caspule 5 is out. Mosaert Fabrique fuses fashion, music, home accessories, video making as design graphism.
Exclusively available in limited edition, Belgian clothing brand Mosaert launches at Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche their newest collection, the “Capsule n°5” and for the first time sells Home Decor items in addition to clothing. The trio has imagined the “Mosaert Fabrique ” as a fantastic factory in order to make visitors discover their universe. The scenograpgy is about showing the backstages of their production process and their creativity.
After Iris Apfel in 2016 and Loïc Prigent in 2017, Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche has invited the creative trio Mosaert to the iconic Parisian store. The Brussels-based Mosaert collective – Paul Van Haver aka Stromae, fashion designer Coralie Barbier and artistic director Luc Junior Tam – has crafted a fantastical pop-up store featuring its Capsule 5 collection. The Mosaert Fabrique is a fun fantasy factory that illustrates the production process behind a unisex capsule collection, along with home décor items.
Playing with industrial codes – factory pipes painted white with golden details, sales assistants wearing jumpsuits – the first installation on the rue de Babylone side features clothes parading on rails. The second on rue de Sèvres presents a video installation and a song created specially by Stromae for the launch of Capsule 5.
T-shirts, teddies and socks are decked out with arabesques, butterflies and plants typical of the Art Deco and Art Nouveau currents, updated with punchy colors to create graphic prints. Mosaert’s basics see the addition of several new items: shorts, a faux fur bomber jacket, a teddy bomber jacket, six T-shirts, two jogger suits and a knitted sweater. For the first time, fashion wear is joined by home décor items with linen, cushions, crockery and even an armchair. Le Bon Marché has created a collection of its own inspired by Capsule 5 with a candle, notebook, tote bag and purse, plus iconic products from La Grande Epicerie reprising Mosaert prints.
Atelier Notify, the luxury denim brand, launched a customisation area at Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche in April 2016. Following a meeting between their team and Mosaert, Mosaert decided to collaborate on two types of products that would complete capsule no 5: two velvets caps and three pairs of flip-flops.
Discover the installation and the collection at Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche until May 13. All clothes are unisex and produced in limited quantities, exclusively in Europe.
