French luxury house Moynat, one of the oldest French luxury trunk-makers (founded in 1849), reinterprets one of its most iconic handbags, the Rejane, named after one of the most acclaimed Parisian actresses of the Belle Epoque – Gabrielle Rejane, the stage name of Gabrielle-Charlotte Reju (June 5, 1856 – June 14, 1920). Rejane’s bag pure, exquisitely feminine lines are enhanced by a jewel like clasp. The Rejane bag is available in luxuriant Taurillon leather in blue, taupe and black.
Groupe Arnault, LVMH’s CEO Bernard Arnault’s holding company bought Moynat in 2010 and in December 2011, a Moynat boutique was opened at 348 rue Saint-Honore, not so far from the famous Hermes boutique at 24, rue du Faubourg Saint-Honore.
