What is presented at 2016 Baselworld watch fair will be the must haves in watch and jewellery fashion.
There are always watch collections at Baselworld (March 17-24, 2016) that stir up excitement with professionals and visitors. What exemplifies Baselworld fair is its unique ability to regroup the biggest and most prestigious watch and jewellery brands in the world, emerging design talent, the finest retailers and the global press.
Let’s take a look at 2luxury2’s third selection of watches (see part I and part II here) to be seen at this year’s Baselworld.
Breitling Avenger Bandit watch – an authentic instrument for professionals
The Avenger Bandit is a COSC-certified chronograph that lives in step with the take-offs and landings on the decks of aircraft carriers.
BVLGARI Serpenti Incantati watch – an original interpretation of the snake theme
Bulgari teams the sensual curves of the legendary reptile according to an entirely revised and redesigned aesthetic. For the very first time, the serpent actually coils around the dial. The softer and more contemporary stylised silhouette of the iconic reptile from the Rome-based Maison surrounds the wrist with the shimmering sparkle of diamonds and rubellites.
TAG HEUER Carrera Heuer-02T Black Phantom watch
Less than a year after the launch of the Carrera Heuer 01 in-house chronograph, the new generation of Carrera incorporates a chrono plus a flying tourbillon. For the Black Phantom model, the new Carrera case, made from 12 separate modular parts, is fashioned from black titanium. It houses the very latest TAG Heuer calibre, the Heuer-02T. This chronograph movement is directly inspired by the CH-80 and is COSC-certified.
HALDIMANN H11 Centralbalance 3 Hands hand-wound mechanical watch in Platinium
The immense expertise of master watchmaker Beat Haldimann has produced the H11 Centralbalance 3 Hands, the first watch ever in the world to be fitted with a central
balance. Beat Haldimann has even added to the difficulty by maintaining the hour and minute hands at the centre of the movement. The H11 Centralbalance 3 Hands has been entirely designed, developed and produced in the maestro’s workshops in Thun, in the Bernese Oberland. Competencies extend from themovement to the exterior, including the hand-crafted platinum case.
Czapek Quai des Bergues watch
Thanks to three passionate and daring founders, and to the support of dozens of aficionados worldwide, Czapek is now reborn in complete respect for the style and genius of its founder. François Czapek, former associate of Norbert de Patek, continued his career solo in 1845, supplying timepieces to Napoleon III and to the aristocracy of the era. The Quai des Bergues owes its design to one of Czapek’s stellar creations, the 3430 pocket watch dating from 1850. It is powered by an exclusive Czapek movement with a 7-day power reserve developed in collaboration with Chronode.
Bvlgari Octo Ultranero Finissimo Tourbillon watch
The legendary Octo combines the world’s thinnest mechanical tourbillon movement with an opulent contemporary black exterior. The unique, structured case of the Octo Ultranero Finissimo Tourbillon dares to flaunt an unexpected tone-on-tone combination of materials.
Concord Impresario Lady watch
Released from the constraints of pure classicism, this feminine version provides its own definition of elegance and gives a pleasing twist to its refined lines with a vibrant
contrast between stainless steel, pink gold and shimmering white mother-of-pearl. The delicate diamond embellishment on the dial pays a shining tribute to the design’s aesthetic harmony.
