Nothing lasts, nothing is finished, nothing is perfect. Capturing the powerful modernity of this Japanese assumption, Valentino‘s Creative Directors, Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli gave life to the Rockstud Untitled Capsule Collection. The austere craftsmanship running through the collection, is inspired by the Japanese technique of the Kintsugi, that consists in repairing broken ceramic objects with gold powder.
Taking inspiration from the Japanese philosophy of perfect imperfection Valentino‘s Creative Duo created a unisex capsule collection of classics. The twelve essentials such as a white shirt, a beige trench and blue jeans, and more all bound together with a unique recurring element: the stud.
A new rock and chic verve leads its way through the Fall 2016 collection with the Star Studded Accessories revolutionizing Rockstud shoes, sneakers and Va Va Voom bags. Studs are replaced with showers of stars and circular studs for a fun take on Valentino classics.
On Sunday May 22nd, Teatro dell’Opera di Roma is unveiling an exceptional edition of Giuseppe Verdi’s opera ‘La Traviata’. The opera directed by Sofia Coppola features costumes by Valentino Garavani, Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli.
