Hermes Arceau Pocket Amazones – the very essence of the Hermès style
A pocket watch inspired by a tie designed by Henri d’Origny, Arceau Pocket Amazones exudes nobility and shows centuries-old hand-crafted expertise successfully mastered by Hermes. Grand feu enamelling (enamels at a temperature of around 800°C), miniature painting and paillonné (spangled) techniques are all housed by this unique pocket watch.
The image painted on the dial is inspired by the equestrian world imagined in 1978 by Henri d’Origny, the designer of the first Hermès necktie. Hermes’ Manufacture calibre H1928 trots steadily and accurately, and its manually chamfered and polished finishes, along with the solid gold oscillating weight adorned with “H” letters, are visible through the sapphire crystal case-back.
