A harmonious fusion of historical charm and unforgettable experiences, the Rosewood Munich opens its doors and welcomes guests to explore the vibrant city.
The opening of Rosewood Munich marks a significant milestone in the realm of luxury hospitality in Bavaria. The property, as the inaugural offering of Rosewood Hotels & Resorts in Germany, sets a new standard for sophistication.
A Historic Fusion of Elegance and Tradition
Rosewood Munich is not just a hotel; it’s a fusion of two iconic buildings, each with its unique history. Housed within the former Bavarian State Bank headquarters and the adjacent Palais Neuhaus-Preysing, the property pays homage to Munich’s rich heritage. Located near Marienplatz, the heart of the city, it allows guests to immerse themselves in Bavarian culture, simultaneously embracing its baroque past and contemporary vibrancy.
Guided by Rosewood’s A Sense of Place philosophy, the hotel’s design and experience draw inspiration from its surroundings. The property beautifully marries the architectural grandeur of Baroque and Rococo styles with a contemporary sophistication, preserving the historical significance of the Bavarian capital. The restoration and preservation of the buildings were led by Munich’s esteemed architectural office, Hilmer Sattler Architekten Ahlers, in collaboration with the renowned London-based interior design firm Tara Bernerd & Partners. Local experts from DiPPOLD Interior Design Studio contributed to the vibrant interiors of the restaurant and bar.
Houses Fit for Royalty
Rosewood Munich’s exclusive houses, named after Bavaria’s royal family, are architectural marvels that exude regal elegance. Each house boasts its unique design and offers extraordinary amenities and bespoke butler service, adding a touch of royal splendor to the guest experience.
