Club Car, the world’s largest manufacturer of small-wheel, zero-emissions electric vehicles, aims to replace golf cars with the Limited Edition Jaunt PTV – a factory customized personal transportation vehicle. The personal transportation vehicle (PTV) is a small four-wheeled vehicle similar to a golf car that’s made for neighborhood transportation.
“The Jaunt PTV is tailor-made for seniors, families and individuals in communities where personal transportation is part of the lifestyle,” says Mary A. Sicard, consumer marketing manager. It comes in two- and four-passenger electric models, and can be used both on and off course.
“Personalizing a vehicle takes days, and using aftermarket parts can affect your warranty,” Sicard says. The limited edition Jaunt PTV avoids those problems.”
The car comes factory-customized with an automotive-style body and cowl with dual halogen headlights and molded-in color that doesn’t show scratches, a color- coordinated canopy, luxurious marine-grade seats with complementary piping and stitching, and a rear flip seat.
The quiet, emissions-free Jaunt PTV delivers one of the longest ranges in its class and helps avoid dead batteries and ruined outings. Its new charging system issues alerts that prevent common user errors. It also charges during power fluctuations and monitors the battery pack after charging to deliver power as needed. A standard single-point watering system simplifies battery maintenance and extends battery life.
