Legendary American builder Hatteras Yachts debuted the new Hatteras 70 Motor Yacht at the 2015 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
Featuring Hatteras Yachts’ innovative fiberglass construction, Mediterranean-inspired styling, a large flybridge sheltered by a custom hardtop, and a spacious four-stateroom-plus-crew accommodation plan, the 74’6″ (22.72m) 70 Motor Yacht fills a strategic niche in the builder’s Motor Yacht series ranging from 60 to 100 feet.
“In 2013, we introduced the Hatteras 100 Raised Pilothouse Motor Yacht with updated styling and a flexible layout, setting a new standard for our Hatteras Motor Yacht family. Now, we are expanding our portfolio by carrying the lines of the 100RPH down to the new 70 Motor Yacht,” said John Ward, president & CEO of Hatteras/CABO Yachts.
“Hatteras Yachts has a great history in the 70-foot size range and even before its launch, the feedback we have been getting on the new 70 Motor Yacht has been outstanding; we already have taken several orders. We are excited about introducing this beautiful yacht, which really starts to solidify the direction we are taking the Hatteras Motor Yacht line.”
Hatteras Yachts also launched the latest Hatterascal factory sportfishing boat, a Hatteras GT70 Convertible, at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. In keeping with its GT pedigree, the 70’6″ (21.49m) GT70 has the long sleek lines, signature bow flare, tumblehome transom, and the smooth, seaworthy ride that make it unmistakably a Hatteras.
In addition to these two new yachts, the Hatteras Yachts displayed the most recent build of the highly successful 100 Raised Pilothouse Motor Yachts series, the 60 Motor Yacht, the GT63 and GT60 Convertibles, and the sporty 45 Express.
