Rimowa and Bang & Olufsen explore the unique link between sound and travel in a new project – a special edition Beoplay H9i housed in a signature RIMOWA case.

Rimowa and Bang & Olufsen have created a pair of limited-edition Beoplay H9i headphones for those who value rich sound in the same way they value purposeful travel experiences.

Made from authentic and long-lasting materials such as anodised aluminium and genuine leather, the RIMOWA x Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H9i headphones are housed in a signature RIMOWA aluminium case and come in a warm light grey colour that accentuates the aluminium expression. With powerful and precise Bang & Olufsen Signature Sound, the wireless Beoplay H9i headphones feature active noise cancellation and an innovative touch interface.

RIMOWA and Bang & Olufsen have invited famed LA-based Swedish composer and record producer, Ludwig Göransson, to reflect on his music, his travel, and the importance they’ve had in his pursuit of mastery. A frequent traveller, ardent multi-instrumentalist, and Academy Award- and triple Grammy-winning producer for his work with Childish Gambino and the movie Black Panther, Ludwig opens up to RIMOWA and Bang & Olufsen about his approach to finding balance and sense of place through sound.

The limited edition RIMOWA x Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H9i headphones will be available at a recommended retail price of EUR 800 / USD 900 / GBP 750.

The new Spring/Summer 2019 Collection from Bang & Olufsen celebrates the subtle colours of Scandinavian summer

The limited-edition Bang & Olufsen Spring Summer 2019 Collection includes a range of premium headphones, speakers and accessories in a new, ethereal colour scheme that eases from the ground, through the forest and up into the pale blue sky. The SS19 colours include Clay, a deep and natural colour inspired by the earthy tones of Scandinavian summer and dramatic seaside cliffs; Pine, a dark green that brings to mind the crisp freshness and deep contrasts of the Scandinavian forest; and Sky, a light blue tone with a cool sense of breezy summer afternoons.

The seasonal Spring/Summer 2019 Collection consists of lightweight, in-ear wireless earphones Beoplay E6, Bang & Olufsen’s top-of-the-line, wireless headphones Beoplay H9i with an over-ear wearing style and soft leather cushions, Beoplay A1 – the portable Bluetooth speaker for music and calls. The range also offers a delicate pouch for earphones and a bag for your headphones, made with Ria fabric from the Kvadrat/Raf Simons collection. The use of colour in Ria takes inspiration from Pointillism, the technique through which vibrant fields of colour are built up in precise, individual dots.
