Tequila Herradura Colección de la Casa, Reserva 2016 – Port Cask Finished Reposado is made from 100% blue agave, aged for 11 months in medium-char American oak casks, and then aged for an additional two months in hand-selected vintage port casks from the renowned Duoro Valley in Portugal. This process provides a complex body and extraordinarily smooth taste.
Crafted by Master Distiller Maria Teresa Lara, one of the only female Master Distillers in the tequila industry, this small-batch tequila is produced using only the finest blue agave plants, harvested at the peak of perfection. It is then fermented with natural yeast amid the warm breeze and citrus trees of Casa Herradura, a process entirely unique in the industry. The double-maturation process accentuates the notes of cooked agave, increases complexity and delivers a nose of dried fruit and ripe plum infused with hints of cinnamon, caramel and chocolate. Bottled at 80 proof, Colección de la Casa, Reserva 2016 – Port Cask Finished Reposado is a gorgeous expression for true tequila lovers.
